“People said I was crazy to do it.” Blenders was born in San Diego. A surf coach shaking up the sunglass industry with only $2,000 to his name? Wild. But I didn’t want to blend in. I wanted something different, radical, and fun.
Built on the Beach
It all started in 2012. At a nightclub while watching a DJ, my neon green “beater” shades got a ton of attention on the dance floor. What began as a night full of friends and good music quickly turned into an obsession with sunglasses.After months of research, it became clear that the market needed a cooler, more community-driven brand. Fresh out of college, I started with one style and sold the first Blenders out of my backpack on the beach between surf lessons. Life’s finest teacher is experience, and the only way you fail is if you stop.
